The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the firm as a Business Development Executive where you will support the Business Development team with all BD activities, in line with Myerson's commercial objectives.
Duties of the role include:
This is a wide ranging, dynamic and hands on role where you will be involved in all manner of business development activities. Some the duties and responsibilities include:
- Providing proactive administrative support across the Business Development team.
- Supporting the Business Development team with the management and coordination of business development activities, including client, contact, prospective client and contact, and key employee lead generation activities.
- Managing and maintaining data relating to Business Development and the Firm’s client database. Regularly updating, pulling and manipulating data within our document management software and the CRM system.
- Carrying out research and lead generation and collating reports for various Business Development data projects.
- Attending internal departmental and sector team meetings on behalf of the Business Development team, and helping to support them with their various initiatives and activities.
- Assisting with the management and coordination of our referral scheme for law firms, Myerson Connections, including onboarding new law firm members and assisting with (and attending) our conferences and events, including in-person events, round tables, podcasts and video content.
- Assisting with our various other business development activities and projects, speaking with clients over the telephone, video calls and in person, collating feedback data and cross selling other legal services to clients and prospects.
- Supporting with the co-ordination of, and attending, our own marketing and business development events.
- Co-ordinating the attendance of Myerson’s solicitors at third-party events, seminars, networking events and client events to ensure Myerson is well represented at them.
- Managing partnerships with networking organisations across Greater Manchester.
Who we are looking for
The position would suit someone looking to develop their career in business development with excellent interpersonal, organisational, verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail, understand the importance of working to tight deadlines and be able to multiple and varied tasks simultaneously. The ability to work proactively with a collaborative, team focused approach is essential.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be educated to degree level and previous experience working in a business development role is beneficial (preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment).
